Meet Yumi,

I’m Piyumi Nadeesha — but most people just call me Yumi. 

For me, art has always been a way of holding on to the moments, expressions and memories we never want to lose. I create simply because I love it — taking the time to enjoy each piece, work with care, and bring a little of that love into every portrait I make. With a lifelong love of animals and a passion for expressive art, I create distinctive pet portraits in watercolour, fine line, colour pencil, graphite, charcoal and oil.

Every piece is individually created to capture more than appearance I aim to preserve the character, emotion and special bond behind each image. The greatest reward for me is seeing my art become part of someone’s home, transforming a treasured memory into something that can be seen, felt and loved every day.
